What is Pre-Ordering?
Pre-ordering means that you place and pay for your order before the item is “in stock”. This means that there is a waiting period while your item it is manufactured, quality checked and dispatched.
An estimated delivery date is included in the product description of pre-order items to give you an indication of when you can expect to receive your piece.
Why Pre-Ordering?
A short waiting period allows us to produce according to demand. This is in keeping with the slow fashion philosophy of producing less waste. By tracking pre-orders and offering replenishments as needed, we can move away from an attitude of mass consumption.
FAQs
Can I trust making payment in advance?
Yes, we hold the funds from our own bank account until the shipment to you has been made. Also, if you change your mind about the item you’ve ordered while you are waiting, we will fully refund you.
FAQs
What if it’s the wrong size? Do I have to wait again?
We will do our best to supply you with a replacement as soon as possible. For popular items, we will likely have extra stock that can be shipped immediately. For smaller batch items, you might be required to wait for the next cycle.
FAQs
Why are some items pre-order and some are not?
If demand has shown that certain items are likely to sell then it makes sense to keep them in stock. Also, some wholesalers require minimums which we meet by stocking up!
